.

Our last class ( 15 ) we stopped at #200
1. Two Hundred Naira #200 = Akpa
2. Three Hundred Naira #300 = Apka mo Ekise
3. Four Hundred Naira #400 = Ma Akpa
4. Five Hundred Naira #500 = Ma Akpa mo ekise
5. Six Hundred Naira #600 = Tara Akpa
6. Seven Hundred Naira #700 = Tara Akpa mo ekise
7. Eight Hundred Naira #800 = Nein Akpa
8. Nine Hundred Naira #900 = Nein Akpa mo ekise
9 . One Thousand Naira #1000 = Soron Akpa
10. Two Thousand Naira #2000 = Oyi Akpa
11. Three Thousand Naira #3000 = Di Apka
Diye means 15 , because we are calling it together with the Akpa we remove the ye .
So Diye = Di = 15 .
Then Di Akpa = Di ( 15 ) × Apka ( 200 ) = #3000
12. Four Thousand Naira #4000 = Akpamasi
Note Akpa ( 200 ) , Si ( 20 ) , The ma is not ( 2 ) two in this one. ma is silence , it is just for pronunciation. So do not say masi as 40 in this one although masi = 40 .
So is not 200 × 2 × 20 but Akpamasi = 200 × 20 = #4000
13. Five Thousand Naira #5000 = Akpamasi mo Soron Akpa
Note Akpamasi( 4000 ) , mo means plus + while Soron Akpa ( 1000 ) .
14. Ten Thousand Naira #10000 = Oyi soron Akpa feni
Note Oyi (10 ) × soron ( 5 ) × Apka ( 200 ) = # 10000
15. Twenty Thousand Naira #20000 = Si oyi soron Akpa feni
Note Si ( 20 ) , soron ( 5 ) , Akpa ( 200) . Then 20 × 5 × 200 = #20,000
Note Feni in ijaw means remainder or what is left
