FG Award Multi- Million Dollar Contract To Tompolo To Curb Oil Theft

The Federal Government has renewed a multi-million dollar pipeline surveillance contract to a former militant leader and Commander of the defunct Movement for Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo.

FG and NNPC signed a deal with Tompolo to stop illegal refining and bunkery in the Niger delta Area.

Report said the deal worth over N4billion monthly. It is believed by federal government that this deal may not be completely eradicated the illegal activities in the Creek , but Tompolo will achieve 95 per cent.
